Mulled Wine

There is nothing extraordinary in the Mulled Wine recipe, we often did it intuitively – we mixed the wine with sugar and cinnamon, in the simplest case, and that was it. But if you want a more exemplary wine with more diverse spice aromas and orange slices, I say consider this recipe.

The wine comes out very good, aromatic, and warms your cravings on colder evenings.
As well as all the spices below if you don’t have them, it’s no problem 🙂 In the worst-case scenario, use cinnamon and some black pepper, but I’ll repeat, it’s worth a little effort and spices. It also feels good with cardamom, anise, and cloves.

I hope you have such a craving for this wine as I had, so you will like this simple but interesting  Romanian Recipe.

Prep time

Cooking time

  • 1 liter Red Wine

  • 8 Tablespoons Sugar

  • 2 Sticks Cinnamon

  • 4 stars Anise

  • 1 Orange

  • Pass the wine through a thick sieve to avoid the formation of abundant foam in your Mulled Wine.

  • Mix with the sugar, the anise seed stars and the cinnamon and let it boil over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, then leave it on the fire only until it starts to froth.

  • Peel the orange, and arrange it on the glass. Peeled slices can also be put in the glass.
